For a UK home in 2026 the machine to buy is almost always a mains K4 or K5. The rest of the yellow range is either a cheaper first machine, a battery rinser, a clip-on patio head, or a petrol trade pump. This page is the brand hub: which Kärcher to buy, then where to read the deep review.

Kärcher K4 Power Control Flex

The best Kärcher pressure washer for most UK homes

This is the Kärcher to buy if you want one machine and the drive is not a two-hour job. 130 bar with a twist-to-adjust Vario is the useful home class. Drop the setting for paint, open it for arches and stone. The LED on the gun shows the step.

Buy the Flex SKU, not an older stiff-hose K4. Eight metres walks a family car if you park at a corner. It will not let you stand still on a long van. The dirt blaster is for stone, not lacquer.

Home kits add a T 5 and stone cleaner. Viking has listed Home at £219.99. B&Q Car & Home is £259 (foam, brush, shampoo). Amazon Car & Home (B0DQLDF2WH) has been around £298. Buy the kit if you will use the head. A separate FJ 10 C foam jet is about £30 to £33.

Skip it if the driveway is long and green. That is the K5. Skip it if you only rinse one small car and will never touch the slabs. The K2 will do that for half the money.

Kärcher K5 Power Control Flex

The Kärcher to buy if the drive is part of the job

Same gun, same Vario, same “do not put the dirt blaster on the paint” rule. The upgrade is litres and hose, not a different way of washing a car. 500 L/h rinses shampoo off a roof faster than 420 L/h. Ten metres means you park the machine once.

145 bar is still a domestic figure. Used on a wide fan, a metre back, it is fine on modern paint. Used as a pencil jet, close in, it will cut lacquer. The extra bar is for block paving, not for getting closer to the wing.

Shop the live total. An earlier Amazon street of about £240 is no longer a featured offer. ITS at £283 is the cleanest named price on this check. GO Outdoors retail is £340. B&Q snippets showed £279 and £309; the product page was down, so those two are unverified.

Kärcher UK also sells a K5 Classic at £249.99 and a K5 WCM Flex eco!Booster at £299.99. Same 145 bar class. Buy Power Control Flex if you want the gun and the 10 m hose. Buy Classic if you only want K5 water volume.

Home and Car & Home kits with a T 5 start from about £359. Bare Flex plus a £55 T 5 is about £335. A kit at £360 is a small premium. Check the contents list.

Kärcher K2 Power Control

The budget Kärcher, if you are honest about the job

• Who it is for: one small or medium car, light furniture, a buyer who will not also take on a mossy drive

110 bar is enough to wash a car if you foam first and stay on the Vario’s wide setting. It is not enough to pretend this is a patio machine. The short hose is the daily frustration: you will drag the trolley around the car. The air-cooled motor is louder and less happy in long sessions than the K4’s water-cooled unit.

K2 SKUs multiply: Power Control, Home, Car & Home, Classic, Horizontal. Same 110 bar class, different hose and extras. Screwfix titles the Home box Karcher K2 Home. That Home kit includes a T 1, not a T 5. Fine for a tiny yard.

Treat the K2 as a first machine. If you already know you will do the drive twice a year, buy the K4.

Skip it if you have two cars, a long hose run, or you want a gun that shows the pressure step on an 8 m Flex hose.

Kärcher OC 6-18 Premium

The cordless Kärcher, if there is no socket

There is no widely stocked high-pressure battery K2 in the UK. The OC 6-18 is the cordless model you can actually buy. It is a medium-pressure cleaner, not a K4. The 12 litre tank is the feature: enough, Kärcher says, for three to five dirty bikes on one fill. Tank trolleys as a class sit on the cordless pressure washer with tank page.

Runtime on the 2.5Ah pack is short. Use a 5.0Ah pack if you own one. Foam jet, wash brush and suction hose are extras.

Worx and Ryobi sit at 40 to 56 bar and cost less if you are not already on Kärcher 18V. Full comparison: cordless page. Buy this for the tank and the brand, not as a tap-fed K4.

Skip it if you always have a tap and a socket. Buy the K4. Skip it if you want 40 bar-plus in a gun and you do not own Kärcher batteries.

OC 3 is a rinser, not a washer

The OC 3, OC 3 Plus and OC 3 Foldable are 5 to 6 bar jugs. Fine for boots, a dog, a bike. They are not washers.

Trafalgar has the Foldable at £99. A 6 August 2026 report put the older OC 3 around £93 on Amazon. OC 3 Plus has no clean UK buy-box this check (comparison sites about £149 to £217). Do not spend K4 money on a Plus kit expecting patio work.

Patio heads are accessories

A T 5 or T 7 Plus is a clip-on head for a K-series mains machine. Without a washer, a tap and a socket, it does nothing. People searching for a Kärcher patio cleaner usually need the T 5 for a machine they already own, or a Home kit that already includes one.

• T 7 Plus (2.644-074.0): corner power nozzle, K4 to K7 only. Trafalgar £74.99. Comparison sites about £83 to £106.

A K2 will spin a T 5 and feel thin on a green terrace. If the patio is the main job, buy a K4 Home kit, not a £55 head on a weak machine. Do not add a second T 5 if a Home box already has one. K2 Home uses a smaller T 1.

Kärcher HD 7/15 G

The petrol Kärcher you can actually buy

Kärcher’s home range in the UK is electric. There is no consumer petrol K4. The HD 7/15 G is the petrol model sold here, in the Professional catalogue. Working pressure is 150 bar, not 210. With 650 L/h that is enough for concrete and kit all day.

It is not three times better than a K5 for a Saturday patio. It costs trade money because it is built for a van. If that is not your week, see the petrol page and buy a Hyundai HYW3100P2.

Skip it if you want maximum bar per pound, or you only wash cars. A mains K4 is the car washer. A Hyundai P2 is the homeowner petrol washer.

How to choose

Start with the job

1. No outdoor socket, or no tap. Battery. The OC 6-18 if you want a Kärcher tank trolley. A stronger handheld on the cordless page if you are not already on Kärcher 18V. The OC 3 if you only rinse boots and a bike.
2. One small car, light furniture, tight budget. K2. Accept the short hose.
3. Cars, furniture and a normal patio. K4 Power Control Flex. Add a Home kit if you want the T 5 in the box.
4. Cars plus a long or filthy drive. K5 Power Control Flex. Buy it for the 10 m hose and 500 L/h, not because cars need 145 bar.
5. Trade, pond draw, Honda service agents. HD 7/15 G. Not a first home machine.

K-class is the pressure, not the kit name

Kärcher sells the same class under Classic, Power Control, Comfort Premium, WCM Flex and eco!Booster labels. The number is the pump class.

K3 eco!Booster boxes are on Kärcher UK from £139.99 (Home £149.99, Car & Home £179.99). Real stock, easy to overpay next to a sale K4 Classic at £159.99. Most buyers should pick a side.

K7 will wash a car if you turn it down. Do not buy it for cars alone. K6 sits on the class chart at 160 bar. We did not find a clean UK consumer SKU this check.

Flex versus Home kit

These words get mixed up on shop banners.

• Flex means the PremiumFlex hose. That is the daily comfort upgrade. Buy Flex on a K4 or K5 if you have the choice.
• Power Control means the gun shows the pressure step. Worth having.
• Home means a T 5 (on K4 and K5) or a T 1 (on K2) plus stone cleaner. Buy it if you do not already own the head.
• Car & Home means the patio kit plus foam, brush or shampoo. Useful if those extras are cheap in the bundle. Easy to overpay.
• Classic means compact, often a stiffer hose, often the lowest official price in that class.
• Comfort Premium / WCM / eco!Booster means newer lances and storage. Same K-class pressure. Pay for them if you want the Multi Jet or the quieter box, not because the badge is newer.

Open the kit list. If it says T 5, do not add another. If it says T 1, that is the small K2 head.

Battery versus mains

A mains K4 or K5 needs a garden hose and a 13A socket. That pair is still the best Kärcher pressure washer set-up for a weekly family wash. Battery is the workaround when one of those is missing.

24 bar on the OC 6-18 is a strong hose, not a K2. 5 bar on the OC 3 is a rinse. If you want 40 bar-plus without a lead, you are shopping Worx or Ryobi, not staying inside Kärcher.

Petrol is the other “no socket” answer, and only if the area is large enough that 400 L/h will take all afternoon. A home K5 is quieter, lighter and cheaper to own than the HD 7/15 G. Petrol does not make a small job faster. It makes a big job possible.

Register the machine if you want the extra Kärcher years on top of the standard two. Terms apply. A foam jet is worth more than another 15 bar on paint. The dirt blaster is for paving, not lacquer. First-use setup, nozzles and frost drain-down are on the how to use a pressure washer page.

What we left out

K3 as a pick. Sold in the UK. Not a default. Stretch to a K4 or save on a K2.

K7 as a pick. Sold in the UK from about £410 to £520. Too much washer for most drives. Fine if you already know you want 180 bar and a 10 m hose on a large plot.

K6. On the class chart. Not a practical UK trolley we could put a street price on this check.

Comfort Premium and WCM eco!Booster as defaults. Same class pressure as the Flex picks, more money. Shop them if the Flex SKU is missing and the live total is close.

US and EU-only names. Battery K2 Follow Me, 120 V frames, anything missing from kaercher.com/uk.

Older Smart Control Bluetooth guns. Thin UK stock. Power Control is the live gun.

T 350, T 450, T 300. Previous patio heads. Current are T 5 and T 7 Plus.

What is the best Kärcher pressure washer in the UK right now?

For most households, the K4 Power Control Flex. 130 bar, 420 L/h, 8 m Flex hose, a gun that shows the pressure step, and a street price around £200 to £220. If you will also do a long drive, the K5 Flex from about £280 is the better single machine.

Do I need a Home kit?

Only if you do not already own a T 5 and you will use one. A bare Flex plus a separate T 5 is often close to a Home box. Car & Home is worth it when the extras are cheap in the bundle, not when the banner says Home.

Can I wash a car with a Kärcher?

Yes, on a wide Vario or fan setting, at a distance. Kärcher’s own advice is a flat jet, at least 15 cm from paint and 30 cm from tyres. Further is safer. Do not use the dirt blaster on lacquer. See the cars guide.

What if I have no outdoor tap?

A mains Kärcher will not invent one. Buy the OC 6-18 if you want a Kärcher tank, or a siphon handheld from the cordless guide. The OC 3 will only rinse.

Which Kärcher is petrol?

The HD 7/15 G, in the Professional range, from about £1,767. There is no home petrol K4. Compare it with cheaper petrol machines on the petrol page.

Do T 5 heads fit every Kärcher?

Kärcher UK lists K2 to K7 Home & Garden machines, bayonet on the gun. The T 7 Plus is K4 to K7 only. Neither clips onto a Bosch, Nilfisk or a random cordless gun. Very old guns can need adaptor 2.643-950.0.

Why do two shops show different prices for the same K5?

Because they are often different SKUs, or last month’s deal. Amazon’s old £240 Flex offer is gone. Official Classic and WCM boxes sit in a different band. Shop the part number on the carton, not the word K5 on a tile.
