A wall mounted jet wash is a pressure washer that lives on the garage, workshop or side-return wall. You walk up, pull the hose, wash the car or the patio, then put the gun back. The floor stays clear. That is the whole point.
It is not a Kärcher K4 parked on a shelf. UK buyers searching this phrase want one of four things: a consumer retractable hose unit (Giraffe Tools Grandfalls), a boxed washer with a proper wall bracket (SIP Tempest PW420/150), a detailing bay (bigboi WashR plus its metal mount), or a trade stationary machine (Kärcher HD ST, Kränzle WS). Those last two are fixed-bay kit, not a default home buy.
This guide covers the machines you can buy in the UK right now. Specs come from manufacturer pages. Prices come from UK retailers in August 2026.
If you click through and buy, we may earn a commission.
A trolley K4 or K5 is still the smarter buy if you need to wash the front and the back of the house, if you rent and might move, or if you already own Kärcher lances and a patio head. Start with the best pressure washer for cars page in that case, or the Kärcher hub if you are choosing the trolley. A wall unit wins when the job is always in the same place: the drive, the garage apron, the side return.

Giraffe Tools Grandfalls Essential
Best wall mounted jet wash for most UK homes
- Buy: giraffetools.uk Essential £260.99 (was £289.99). Amazon listings exist; a live buy-box was not captured. Two-year warranty from the official site or the Giraffe Tools Amazon store.
- SKU: P115-G30BUK
- Pressure: 165 bar at first discharge, 125 bar rated under typical load
- Flow: 8.0 L/min max with the nozzle open (480 L/h), 5.0 L/min rated (300 L/h)
- Hose: 30 m replaceable ordinary (black) hose, auto-retract, shift-lock at any length
- Motor: 2 kW brush / universal motor, 8.5 A, 240 V 50 Hz
- Cable: 5 m
- Size / weight: 654 × 353 × 864 mm, 21.2 kg
- Noise: 90 to 93 dB (maker claim)
- In the box: wall box, wall base, foam pot, gun and nozzle, 2 m lead-in hose, fasteners, tap adaptor, manual
- Who it is for: a house with a garage or side-return wall, a car on the drive, and a patio you can reach without dragging a trolley
This is the product people mean. Pump, hose and storage live in one box. Mount it, clip the garden hose to the 2 m lead-in, plug into a 13 A outdoor socket, and pull. Thirty metres will walk a family car, the side passage and a small rear patio from one fixing, if the wall is in the right place.
Rated pressure is 125 bar, not 165. Treat 165 as the peak on the box. A fan jet at 125 bar sits with a K4 for cars. Use the foam pot. Leave pencil or rotary jets off the paint.
The motor is a 2 kW brush unit, not induction, which is why it is cheaper and louder than the SIP. Total Stop cuts the motor when you drop the trigger. IPX5 and a UV-resistant case allow an outdoor wall. Giraffe Tools still tells you to take it down for winter. Do that, or drain and cover it.
The hose is replaceable on Essential and Plus. That is the reason to skip the G20 if you will use this every week. Optional cover £20. Spare bracket £36.
Skip it if 20 m is enough and you want the smaller G20 box. Skip it if you want a quiet induction motor you can lift off the wall and carry to the front garden. That is the SIP.
Giraffe Tools Grandfalls G20
Best compact wall unit
- Buy: giraffetools.uk G20 ordinary hose £218.49 (collection also showed £206.99), ultra-soft £227.99. Amazon B0DFMB4SQ2 and B0DFMBKV9J; live Amazon prices not confirmed.
- Models: P115-G20B / P115-G20A
- Pressure: 150 bar max
- Flow: 8.0 L/min max, 5.0 L/min rated
- Hose: 20 m, not replaceable. Ordinary black or grey ultra-soft
- Motor: 1.8 kW, 7.5 A, 240 V
- Cable: 2 m (shorter than Essential)
- Size / weight: 427 × 475 × 541 mm, 18.2 kg
- Noise: 95 dB
- In the box: wall box, wall base, foam pot, gun and nozzle, 2 m lead-in, fasteners, tap adaptor
- Who it is for: one car, a short drive, a tight garage wall where the big 30 m box will not sit
The G20 is Essential, shrunk, with a 180° swivel bracket so you can swing the box toward the work. For one hatchback on a short drive that is enough.
Twenty metres is not thirty. Measure the walk around the car before you save the money. The hose is not a replaceable spare. The 2 m power lead means the socket has to be close, or you need a proper outdoor extension on an RCD.
Giraffe Tools allows outdoor mounting and tells you to unhook it for winter. 95 dB is loud on a terrace.
Skip it if the patio is around the back and the only solid wall is on the drive. Pay for Essential. Skip it if paint care and quiet matter more than the retractable hose. That is the bigboi bay.
SIP Tempest PW420/150
Best boxed wall-mountable washer
- Buy: Kendal Tools £333.99 · First for DIY £348.80 · Generators Direct £379.99 · SIP UK (no live list price on the page; usually 3-day delivery) · SIP Group
- Code: 08920
- Pressure: 150 bar (2175 psi) max
- Flow: 420 L/h
- Hose: 6 m
- Motor: 1.6 kW (2 hp) brushless induction, SIP axial pump, Total Stop
- Supply: 230 V, 13 A, 5 m cable
- Size / weight: 413 × 193 × 337 mm, 12.8 kg
- Protection: IPX5, inlet water 0 to 40°C
- Noise: SIP Group lists LwA 84 dB(A) and LpA 71 dB(A). Dealer pages swap those two figures. Treat it as quieter than a Grandfalls box, not silent.
- In the box: washer, 6 m hose, pistol, lance and nozzle, detergent bottle, lance hook, garden-hose adaptor, powder-coated wall bracket
- Warranty: SIP 2-year Standard Silver, register within 30 days
- Who it is for: a garage or workshop that wants an induction motor on the wall, and the option to lift it off and carry it
The SIP is a framed washer with a detachable bracket, not a hose-reel cupboard. Hang it, or stand it on the anti-vibration feet. You get a 13 A plug, a brushless motor and 150 bar / 420 L/h in the same class as a K4, without the plastic trolley.
The 6 m hose is why it is not the default home pick. It will wash a car if the machine sits next to the door. It will not reach a rear patio from a front garage. Add a hose, or lift the frame off and walk it.
Induction plus Total Stop is the durability case against Giraffe Tools’ brush motor. SIP is a UK industrial brand with a service centre. That, not the hose, is what £334 to £380 buys.
Skip it if the point of a wall mounted jet wash is “pull 20 or 30 metres and never coil anything”. That is Grandfalls. Skip it if you want a tuned detailing pump and a foam cannon that is not a supermarket bottle. That is bigboi.
bigboi WashR PRO MKII
Best detailing wall bay (washer plus mount)
- Buy washer: iBigBoi UK £711.55 (was £749). My Car Cleaning £735. Official stock was “July / August TBC” on 16 August 2026.
- Buy mount: WASHR Fixed Wall Mount £269. A £215.20 sale ended 1 May 2026. The mount does not include the washer, hose, gun or nozzles.
- Pressure: 1850 psi max (130 bar). Tuned nozzle figure about 1450 psi (roughly 100 bar)
- Flow: 9.5 L/min max (570 L/h), 9.2 L/min tuned
- Hose: 13 m commercial braided, 1/4 inch quick-connect. The wall reel takes up to 20 m of 1/4 inch hose
- Motor: 2000 W peak, 4-pole brushless induction, 1450 rpm, Total Stop, under 80 dB
- Supply: 230 V 50 Hz, UK 13 A plug, 5 m cable
- Weight: 28 kg in the carton
- In the kit: washer, foam cannon, short trigger, stainless wand, 13 m hose, four quick-release nozzles, brass inlet and hose fittings
- Warranty: 2 year domestic / 1 year trade on the machine (iBigBoi and dealers also quote a 10 year limited pump-head warranty). Read the current terms.
- Who it is for: a home detailer or small bay who wants a quiet brass-pump washer fixed to the wall, and who will spend about £1,000 to do it properly
This is not a retractable consumer box. The WashR is a squat detailing washer. The wall kit is a powder-coated shelf, a manual hose reel, holders, a link hose and masonry bolts. Together they make a bay. Apart, you have a 28 kg washer on the floor.
Flow is the paint spec. 9.2 L/min at a tuned 100 bar-class jet rinses shampoo without a pencil jet. If you only wash one family car, Essential at £261 is the rational wall unit. If you want a serviceable triplex pump and a short gun, this is the UK-stocked bay. See the cars guide for paint rules.
Stock was incoming when prices were checked. Do not treat a pre-order as next-day.
Skip it if you want one box with an auto-rewind hose under £300. Skip it if you need 30 m of reach from a side-return wall. The 13 m hose is a bay hose, not a house hose.
Trade stationary units, not a home default
Kärcher HD ST machines are stand-alone pumps with a 3-point back plate. Mount them on a workshop wall. They are not Home & Garden trolleys.
The HD 6/11-4 M ST (1.524-939.0) is 110 V: 110 bar, 600 L/h, 2.9 kW, 25 kg. Trade prices seen in 2026 ran from about £931 to £1,350 before VAT. Site voltage, not a kitchen socket.
The HD 7/12-4 M ST (1.524-937.0) is the 240 V wall unit: 120 bar, 700 L/h, 3.1 kW. Kärcher Centre JHS listed £1,362 including VAT, on backorder, with no hose, gun or lance. Treat 3.1 kW as a dedicated-circuit job.
The only 230 V Kränzle wall unit is the WS 599 TS (675100): 30 to 150 bar, 600 L/h, 3.3 kW, 14 A, 62 kg, 10 m hose, about £2,457, 16 A plug. Bigger WS-RP models are 400 V. Nilfisk DTE 400CS cabinets are industrial frost-protected plant; a 240 V 100 bar example has been listed around £2,979 plus VAT.
None of these belong on a domestic pick card.
A bracket is not a wall mounted jet wash
You can hang a K4, or any boxed washer, on a shelf and call the garage tidy. That is storage. It is not a wall mounted jet wash.
The workaround that gets close: leave the trolley washer in the garage and put a high-pressure hose reel on the wall, with a short link hose to the pump. UK specialists sell 15 m, 20 m and 30 m manual reels for K-series fittings. You still own a K4 you can take to the front path. You do not get auto-retract.
Kärcher’s HR 4 is a garden hose reel, not a high-pressure mount. If you want Kärcher accessories and a machine you can move, buy the trolley and a reel. If you want the hose in the wall box, buy Grandfalls.
How to choose
Power. For cars and furniture you want a fan jet and a working pressure around 100 to 130 bar, not a dirt blaster. Essential’s 125 bar rated figure and the WashR’s tuned 100 bar-class jet are the sensible ones. 150 bar on the SIP is fine on stone and on paint if you open the fan and stand back. See the cars page before you point anything at lacquer.
Hose. Measure the walk. A 6 m SIP hose is a machine-beside-the-car hose. 13 m is a bay hose. 20 m covers a short drive. 30 m is the one that reaches a rear patio from a front garage, if the wall is on the right side of the house. Auto-retract is the feature you are paying Giraffe Tools for. A manual reel is what you get with bigboi’s mount.
13 A, 16 A or three-phase. Grandfalls, SIP and the WashR are 13 A UK plugs. Kärcher HD 7/12-4 M ST and Kränzle WS 599 TS are not casual 13 A jobs. Three-phase Kränzle and Nilfisk cabinets are workshop plant. If you have no outdoor socket at all, a wall unit is the wrong category. Use the cordless guide or run a proper outdoor supply first.
Frost. Water left in a pump on an external wall will split it. Mount under an eaves if you can. Drain the hose and the pump after use. Take a Grandfalls box inside for winter if the maker says so. Trade cabinets with frost protection exist. They cost thousands.
Neighbours. Grandfalls quotes 90 to 95 dB. SIP’s sound-power figure is 84 dB(A). bigboi claims under 80 dB. A petrol pressure washer is louder still and does not belong on a terrace wall. If the wall faces someone else’s bedroom, the quiet induction bay or a Sunday-friendly session time matters more than another 15 bar.
Install. Grandfalls wants a sound masonry or timber structure, a 12 mm drill on the 30 m boxes, fasteners in the kit, a tap within 2 m of lead-in hose, and an RCD-protected socket. The G20 power lead is only 2 m. SIP’s bracket is a lighter job. The WashR mount is a steel shelf with masonry bolts and a 28 kg machine on it. If the wall is a crumbling outhouse, none of these are a good idea.
When the trolley wins. You wash two sides of the house. You move house often. You already own a K4 and a Kärcher patio head. You want one machine for the allotment and the drive. In those cases a wall box is a second purchase, not the first.
What we left out
Grandfalls Plus (P115-G30AUK). Same 165 bar, 30 m, 2 kW box as Essential. The upgrade is a grey ultra-soft replaceable hose. Collection price £284.99, product page £299.99 and on pre-order (ships from 30 August 2026) when checked. Buy it if you already know you want the softer hose. Do not treat it as a different class of washer.
No-name Amazon wall boxes. If the brand has no UK site, no parts list and no 240 V spec sheet, it is not a pick.
A K4 “wall kit” made from a shelf. Covered above. It is storage.
Supermarket and own-brand boxed washers. Not on this page.
Hot-water and three-phase cabinets. Real products, wrong buyer.
FAQ
What is a wall mounted jet wash?
A pressure washer built to live on a wall, with the hose ready to pull, rather than a trolley you fetch from the shed. In the UK that usually means a retractable Grandfalls box, a SIP-style washer on a bracket, or a detailing machine on a purpose-made mount.
Is a wall unit better than a Kärcher K4?
Better at living in one place. Worse at going to the front path, the back lawn and a neighbour’s house. A K4 Power Control Flex, from about £200, is still the better first machine if you need to move it. The wall unit is the better second machine, or the first if the only job is the drive next to a solid wall.
Will it run on a normal 13 A socket?
The Grandfalls models, the SIP PW420/150 and the WashR PRO MKII will. Use an RCD-protected outdoor socket. Do not daisy-chain cheap indoor extensions. Trade ST and WS machines need a dedicated supply. Ask an electrician before you buy those.
Can I mount it on an outside wall?
Yes, if the wall is sound and you plan for rain and frost. Giraffe Tools allows outdoor mounting and tells you to bring the unit in for winter. SIP is IPX5 and happy in a garage or under an eaves. A bare pump on a north-facing wall through January is how you buy a new pump.
How long a hose do I need?
Walk it. Socket and tap to the far corner of the car, then to the patio if that is part of the job. Under 10 m: SIP or a trolley. Around 13 m in a bay: WashR. 20 m for a short drive: G20. 30 m for a house that turns a corner: Essential.
Can I wash a car with a wall mounted jet wash?
Yes. Use the foam bottle, a wide fan, and stay back from the paint. Essential, G20 and the WashR all ship with foam kit. The SIP has a detergent bottle and an adjustable lance. The same paint rules as the cars guide apply. Rotary nozzles are for stone.
Do I need a professional Kärcher ST unit at home?
No. An HD 7/12-4 M ST is a £1,300-class pump with no hose in the box and a 3.1 kW motor. A Grandfalls or a SIP is the home answer.
What if I have no tap and no outdoor socket?
A wall mounted jet wash will not invent either. Look at a battery washer on the cordless page, or budget for an outdoor supply first.
